Mark, thank you for being brave with this issue. I could not agree with you more, and I am afraid that all of us who feel the way you do and practice in this profession (psychology, psychiatry, psychotherapy) will have to make a professional stance, and possibly lose their license.
I know here in Canada this "gender affirmation" approach is quickly becoming an issue in this profession. I have students I supervise who are now in school and claim there is not a class they take that does not touch on the issue in some way. Our regulatory body, the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, has suddenly, and mysteriously, begun a new testing campaign to be certain we are all "up on new regulations and ethics"...with the potential of requiring "new training" to "re-educate" those therapists that "fail" the test. I am not yet certain what is on this "test" but I can make a good guess.
This is frightening to say the least. And it is a hill I will most certainly die on--if need be.
I commend you for all you do to cut through the insanities and depravities occurring in society and especially in government. I've posted many of your articles and quotes on social media. You are brilliantly incisive and articulate - and on target.
Children and teens are highly impressionable and easily led. If minors can't drink alcohol, they shouldn't be allowed to get radical, life-altering, growth-compromising, health-endangering, immune-system-damaging, body-scarring operations, hormones and drugs.
Trans procedures, drugs and hormones for minors must be criminalized. All involved must then be prosecuted as criminals - doctors included.
Leave kids alone. Trans decisions are to be made as adults - although even 18 is still too young for many people.
Gender re-assignment is an outrageous prevarication of nature! Look to the individuals who are invested in this horrible media supported and govt supported surgery centers - I do believe you may not be surprised.
Yes, and we need to take action and take a stand at every level. The Arcata Community Pool, here in Northern California has hired a transgender lifeguard (a man who thinks he is a woman) and he is using the women's locker room. Seems the board of directors is just fine with that. Not only is it inappropriate, it is dangerous as it normalizes this pathology. No wonder there is a epidemic of trans kids in this state. Will the adults, the parents, wake up and take a stand, or are they already too woke? God help us.
"Monsters" is the key word here. I would add "Perverts" to that description as well. Teachers and Doctors (Dr.s Mark, Barke, and other true warriors aside) are the true enemy in our day. Doctors who know better, but continue to promote the COVID scam and teachers who promote monstrous, perverted deviancy are in no way "heroes." They are monsters.
