As I predicted, the mandates are rapidly crumbling. Only a week ago all California schoolchildren were still under orders to suffocate themselves with diapers strapped to the faces both indoors and out. Following a sustained and accelerating outcry—fury, even—from every sector of society thoroughly fed up with the blatant hypocrisy and dripping condescension of the very individuals who have been stubbornly clinging to their cruel overreach of power for more than two years, the mandate police are in full retreat. Children can now sit or play outside while at school with the faces fully exposed, breathing freely. Even LA County, the last holdout to abandon the indoor mask mandate, is showing signs of caving. After two of five LA County Board of Supervisors members publicly announced they will no longer support the indoor mandate, the unelected fake doctor Barbara Ferrer, the LA County Department of Public Health Director who resembles Cruella de Vil in both appearance and character, quietly announced that she will be “revisiting” the moribund policy as early as next week. These autocrats seen the writing on the wall—the science has not changed, but the politics has, requiring them to begin a strategic retreat from their now undefendable position of despotic control over what we wear on our faces.
The mRNA injection mandates will be the next to fall. The rest of the world has already accepted this reality: Israel, Great Britain, Denmark, and Iceland have announced plans to drop entirely all requirements for its citizens or visitors to produce proof of “vaccination.” Here in the US, insurance companies have released actuarial reports showing a massive, unexplained increase in mortality over the past year never before seen outside of wartime for Americans between the ages of 18 and 49. The cause? As yet unknown, but they all agree that it is not the Wuhan virus. This shocking discovery comes on the heels of the CDC having been caught hiding large swaths of critical information and data related to the mRNA injections, in particular the boosters, that prove the experimental drugs are largely or entirely ineffective in reducing hospitalizations, much less in saving lives, in precisely the same age range (18-49) that we now know have been dying in record numbers since the drugs came to market. More Americans are now putting two and two together and coming up with “no more.”
This changing tide would appear to be good news for our physical safety, our psychological well-being, and our political representation. The mandate battles appear to be drawing to a close, and toxic shots will soon be shelved. To believe that we have won the war, though, would be a huge mistake and a grave tactical error. Yes, the mandates will be over by Easter, perhaps sooner, but they are only isolated battles in a larger war, a war against dependency on the state.
Unfortunately, those who crave power rarely exercise it with restraint or virtue. The opposite is nearly always true. We are now entering year three of fifteen days to flatten the curve, and the emperor of the state of California, Gavin Newsom, just extended his emergency powers once again. “The emergency is not over,” he said, as he announced yet another round of no-bid contracts for contributors to his political campaign, all but ensuring his smooth re-election this fall. Such a feat would be impossible—illegal—without the now permanent state of emergency he himself declared and has repeatedly extended. President Joe Biden did the same thing recently, extending the “national emergency” beyond its expiration date of March 1, allowing him to spend even more money with no oversight. This is nothing more than the usual financial corruption of politics, you might say. Why should this matter?
To see where unchecked power leads us, simply turn to the north and watch the events taking place in Canada under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Having invoked the Emergencies Act for the first time in Canadian history, he is now directing police to arrest and assault peaceful protesters, confiscate their vehicles and fuel, and even kidnap their dogs and have them killed. He has frozen the bank accounts of Canadian citizens who donated as little as $10 to support the Canadian truckers engaging in non-violent civil disobedience, preventing them from paying their mortgages and credit card bills. He even threatened to begin confiscating government identification documents such as passports, essentially imprisoning his own citizens within the country’s borders. He has turned Canada into a de facto dictatorship not unlike Cuba under Fidel Castro, a tyrant whom Trudeau has publicly praised.
We are not yet Canada, but we are heading in that direction. Our local, state, and national leaders are consolidating their power while shutting out all dissenting voices from the people themselves. Their goal is to slowly strip away our medical, financial, and social independence and substitute it for dependency on the state. The masks and the injections are nothing more a vehicle to that end, and there will be more vehicles to come: social credit systems, elimination of cryptocurrencies, abolition of non-government schooling, criminalization of the use of all “non-renewable energy.” The list is endless.
Now is not the time to become complacent. Now is not the time to celebrate a victory. We should simply nod in approval of the dismantling of the mandates while we set our sights on future targets, never forgetting that what we are truly fighting to retain is much more precious: our independence and liberty, not given to us by government, but bestowed on us by God. The real war is a war against dependency and tyranny. We must not forget, even for a moment, that what is at stake is nothing less than our very liberty as individual Americans.

Mark McDonald, M.D.
Psychiatrist and author of United States of Fear: How America Fell Victim to a Mass Delusional Psychosis
Thanks Dr. McDonald. We need your voice of clarity and truth more than ever. We live here in California so know how serious the situation is--and how rare it is to find a courageous, principled physician. My husband is a retired physician in his eighties and we have a hard time accepting what has happened to medicine--even once reasonable colleagues seem to have lost their minds. These are very dangerous times. Just subscribed and look forward to reading more. Your book: United States of Fear is a must read. God bless you.
Great post! 👍🏻
