Since 2020, when we were all told—ordered, in some parts of the country—to shun our families, sacrificing the most essential human need of community, I have encouraged every American to surround himself with like-minded people. It is not possible to maintain a sound mind amid a calamity like the 2020-2023 American lockdown without the presence of a circle of people who live in reality.
That is why Thanksgiving became a target—it threatened compliance with the authoritarian-driven isolation of the American citizenry.
Here we are, three years later, and many families have abandoned the tradition of gathering for Thanksgiving. They allowed the government to tell them what to do, and now they don’t feel motivated to return to the way they used to live. I believe that to be a grave error.
