The intrusive parenting doesn't stop when children grow up. I marvel at my friends who still underwrite and bail out their 40 year old "children". It not only keeps them dependent (seems to be the unconscious objective) but it robs them of the satisfaction of learning to face challenges, deal with life, develop their skills and talents, and become an adult. One of the best things my parents ever did for me was let me know that once I was out of school, I was on my own. That's when I truly started to grow up. It's a shame to deny anyone that opportunity.

Excellent. Looking forward to watching your ATL interview tomorrow - the motivation I use to get to the gym. 😊
